Asylum08 Report: Part 1/2

Ewwweee… reality!! Get it off of me!! *sigh* I’m back at the office and don’t really like it! Shocker, I know!

Anyway, here’s the first part of my con report :)



Well, first of all, I had superfun over the weekend. I wouldn’t say that the con was better than Eyecon (b/c frankly, that’s not possible) but it was really an awesome and fun-filled weekend.

michaela3105 and I traveld from Munich to Amsterdam and from Amsterdam to Brimingham. And I think already the flight was one of the best things of the weekend! We had so much fun on the plane. I brought my camcorder with me and we were filming everything lol We reenacted scenes from Phantom Traveller and I can tell you, we were stared at A LOT! Not to mention that we had our very on “Phantom Traveller” sitting right next to me! SCARY!!

Though I’m not sure where we got stared at more. B/c in Amsterdam, as we were waiting for boarding, we were sitting in the waiting hall and suddenly started to fight lol Like Jared and Jensen did in the season two gag reel (you know, as they were sitting in the Impala)or like Harry and Ed in Ghotfacers! Yeah… ppl really looked funny at us *lol*

Okay, I guess I stop with sharing stuff like this… :D Some other stories are a little bit too crazy to share. But one more thing I have to say before I get to the actual convention part… I finally got to meet amandil12 WEEEH!! I think it took us over one year to finally meet each other. But in the end we managed and it was awesome! *hugs* See, I told you? One day we’ll be able to meet! And really, what better way is there than a SPN convention :D

Speaking of… let’s talk about the convention, shall we? :D

Okay… A.J. and Travis? Definitely the highlight of my weekend! Especially Travis. First of all, he’s seriously pretty in real life!! I first saw him at the wine reception. And as he entered the room, I was like “OMFG” I might have even drooled a little… not sure though *g* Anyway… I’ve a serious crush on him.

One of the funniest moments of the weekend? And let me tell you, there were soooo many. Travis was a surprise guest, and no one had an idea that he was coming! As we got our program with the final schedule, suddenly the name popped up. And michaela3105 and I started squeeing like mad. amandil12, chaotic4life and faith_mars just looked at us, with huge question marks on their faces and I’m pretty sure they thought we went nuts lol And we were like “It’s the other Hell House geek!! It’s the other Hell House geek”!! (There even might have been some jumping up and down! But I will deny everything… so don’t even bother to ask :P )
Yeah, anyways… the both of them on stage were hilarious!! They were like the mini-versions of Jared and Jensen… constantly joking around, mocking each other. You really felt the real friendship between the two of them.

Also, michaela3105and I were wearing Ghostfacer hats most of the time… and everytime they saw us somewhere they yelled “Yeaaah… Ghostfacers! We love the Ghostfacers hats” *lol* It was beyond hilarious! The photo op with them was so much fun, and Michaela was kind enough to let me stand besides Travis!! *heart* Man, he’s short but oh so pretty *sigh*

Next highlight? Katie fucking Cassidy!! This woman rocks on so many levels!!! On one hand she’s so sweet and adorable and on the other hand she’s like “That’s my opinion! Suck it up or get out of my way.” I loved the way she talked about the boys and she also told us some new stories… especially about Jared lol I bet you read a lot of detailed con reports already, so I wont do summaries. But basically Jared is mocking her (and everyone else on set) very much lol He likes to imitate her walk and pranks her during scenes... and yeah… he's pretty much Goofy!Jared all the time.lol
michaela3105, faith_mars and I were also at the Coffe Lounge with her… and yeah, it was pretty amazing.
Not to mention that she is BEYOND pretty and sexy!! *happy sigh* She so needs to get her ass over to Eyecon!!! (Same goes for Travis btw lol )

Well then… my big “handicap” before the con was Lauren!! I guess I made it clear that I kind of dislike her very much? Not just b/c I hate the character she’s playing but b/c I saw a couple of interviews and she always got across like a bigheaded, snobby actress. Well, I was wrong and I have no problem admitting it *g* After seeing her live… I don’t think that her attitude is snobby… she is just not used to the whole attention thing, standing in the spotlight and stuff. But after seeing her at the wine reception… not only is she extremely pretty with a natural look, but she’s also very kind to her fans and well-spoken! You can talk easily with her, without feeling uncomfortable. Plus I like her accent in real life much better than on the show. So yeah… Lauren is cool :-) (Though I got to bitch at her at the autograph panel lol But that’s another story I’ll tell you later)

So, what’s next? Jim Beaver!! Still love the man! It always amuses me how “shocked” he looks when he sees all the fans, cheering for him! We didn’t see much of his solo panel b/c we were standing in line for the photo op session, but we were lucky to see his panel with Sterling! And it was hilarious! He even had a new T-Shirt with “I read Bobby/You” (I hope I remembered correctly *g* ) Yeah, I guess the T-Shirt thing is going to be a running gag now. Cant wait which one he’ll be wearing at the Dallas con.

Speaking of Sterling. Man, I didn’t know how I felt about meeting him. I mean, I squeed as he got announced b/c I always wanted to see him in real life. And man, he’s NOTHING like Gordon! Nothing! In fact, I think he’s on of the nicest guys ever!! :-) I was pretty impressed by him. It was his first convention ever, and you could tell that he was nervous! But he handled everything very well. Just one thing that really creeps me out? His laugh! B/c he really laughs like Gordon sometimes! And yeah… that was scary. I already regret it that I didn’t get my picture taken with him.

Sam and Chad… I don’t know if there was something wrong… but Chad wasn’t really Chad! I noticed it as he was on stage. He was really quiet at first and his whole appearance was very unlike his other conventions. Just near the end of the panel he relaxed a little, giving his Ash-impression while wearing a wig! LOL (btw… remember_nomore I said „Hi“ for you and he was like „omg… thank you!! She’s simply awesome” *g* )

STEVE… Have I ever told you how much I love his voice and music? The concert was soooo awesome. He played some cover versions (like “What comes around, goes around”) and some of his own stuff and I could have squeed the whole time!! Sadly he didn’t play my favourite song (In fact, he never played them while I was at a concert :-( ) But the rest was awesome!! And I also got his new album!! WEEEH!!!

"I'll remember you" I adore this song so very much! I know it's a very piano driven song, so it's not so easy to play it at every concert. But at this convention there was a keyboard on the stage as well and I really thought/hoped that he would be playing it this time *sigh*

And yes!! A.J. and Travis need to be at Eyecon!! Partying with the two of them would be the best time ever!!!

weeeelll.... honestly I dont know. Some of the stuff is really not show-worthy for others LOL And we also said that it's only for the five of us. But we have to cut some stuff (b/c we want to make some sort of "Ghostfacers" episode out of it) so we'll see if the end-result is show-worthy - at least for the fellow Marshmallow girls :D

I did film a bit... especially AJ's and Travis' panel *g* But I kept the cam running even if I didn't point it to the stage - this way it wasn't so suspicious *g* AJ btw didn't tell anything about CSI except that the final episode will rock! And shooting ran late, that's why he didn't make it on Saturday and arrived late.

I'm not hyper about the final episode at all. First time they are going to end the season with a cliffhanger. Bastards! How should I survive until September? The cliffhangers right now are already killing me. Aaaaaaah!

1) I look like a zombie because the finale killed me! or
2) I'm hyper and going crazy because I'm on the heaviest D/L drug you can ever imagine.

First, YAY I'm glad Lauren left a good impression on you. putting the girls together to a panel was a the best idea ever!!! I heard so much stuff, like they'd like to make out if they could, or they had a scene together but it didn't happen because the season was shorthend.
AJ and Travis...OMG another fantastic surprise...I'm glad the organisators really put together great guests to make it up to people who wanted to see Jared. I'd love to meet Katie, I have big crush on her, even physically...I just want to do her :)))

And YAY, you met so many people from LJ, gosh maybe one day I'll be able to meet you, too.

And yeah, I never would have expected to actually like Lauren! NEVER! But I do and that's a good thing :)
