Breakout Videos

I know, there have been quite a few J2-squee posts lately, but today I have a goody for all Veronica Mars/Jason Dohring Fans on my flist. :)

I know some of you wanted to go to Breakout but couldn’t make it.Therefore, here are 5 small videos I made of Jason from day 1. Unfortunately I don’t have any videos of Michael from this day because I was too chicken to film and the security guard was always standing just a few feet away from our seats.

Jdoh JDoh01 JDoh

PLEASE, do not hotlink or upload these videos anywhere else!! :-)

Jason entering the stage and the crowd goes WILD

Say a line of Logan…Come on, at least he REALLY tried to

Jason about Deep Below

Huh? What episode number is it?

Jason about playing good guy/bad guy

And if anyone of you has other videos and would like to share these? I’d love you FOREVER :-)

No, actually, Stef told me you were from Israel *gg* I really like that language... don't understand a word of course, but it sounds really interesting :)

I'm the one with the violet blouse on the right side *g* Btw, I saw your pics with the boys and I'm sure that I have seen you at some point. I'm good with faces... so yep, I totally remember you from somewhere that weekend :)

And thank you soooo much for translating that bit for me. She's so sweet(yes, I know, I repeat myself... but it's so true *g* ) Did you know Alona before Veronica Mars or was Veronica Mars also your first time seeing her on screen?

Sorry about the mail thing... of course it's also without the "live" part :-/ I forgot to add that...

Of course then I get all depressed and wish I had a time machine or something, but never mind that...:P

Yeah... me too!! Still suffering from PCD (post con depression... haha... *g*) But you know, as Logan said once: Time travelling's still not possible... :(

Ahh...sneaky. :P You like Hebrew, really? I don't think I've ever heard someone say they liked it. I like you even more now. :P I've always wondered what it sounds like to someone who doesn't understand it. When we were in london, my family and I talked in hebrew amongst ourselves, and it was so fun being able to speak freely, knowing that almost no one could understand us. Probably sounded like total gibberish to everyone else, heh. :)

Ha, when I saw the pic for the first time I had a feeling that was you, I swear. Freaky. :P Cool that you remember me, hee. Maybe you saw me at the photo sessions? God knows I spent almost an hour in that room just waiting for Michael to wake up and get his ass over there. lol. :P

You're welcome. :) And I totally agree with you - she has this charm that's hard to explain, and she does appear to be very sweet, and from what I've heard from people who've met her in Asylum, she's as sweet as she appears, so that was nice to hear. :)
No, I heard and knew of Alona before VM. She was on a very popular and successful children's show called "Ha Pijamot" ('The Pijamas'), which was her big break over here. I didn't watch the show myself, just clips here and there, but like I said, the show was popular, so it was hard *not* to know of her. She also recorded a song with one of our rappers, and a bit later there was talk about how she met Wyclef Jean and he really liked her and had her record a song with him. She was very well liked over here. *nods* The first time I ever heard of VM actually was when it was reported that she was Rob's second choice for the lead. :)

Heh, no worries, I figured you forgot, which was why I asked. Email sent, btw. :D

I think everyone who was at that con is suffering from it, lol. I think it's so hard for me because this was my very first con, and it was also my first time out of the country in 17 years. It was seriously a dream come true, I never would have imagined it possible for me to actually be there and meet some of my favorite actors from some of my favorite shows. It was quite an experience, and hopefully I'll get the chance to do it again someday, then maybe I won't feel sad about time traveling not being possible. :)

Yeah, I actually do like Hebrew. Well, not that I have heard lots in the past, but I like the sound of the language, the pronunciation. :)

Oh yeah... I could have totally seen you in the photo session! We were also there first thing in the morning, waiting for Michael to finally make an appearance *lol* This is sooo Michael-like!

I also met Alona at Asylum Con, talked with her a little bit and even went to the "Coffe Bar"-thingy with her. And I can just confirm everything you've heard about her. I already adored her before Asylum, but after actually meeting her... well I can't really describe it, but she's just a person you have to love... she's so down-to-earth and nice... unlike some other actresses!! I'm really looking forward to her new show, even though the role is not that big.

You know, it was also sort of the first con for me. Okay,I went to Asylum just a week before, but these two events were completely different. And ever since I started watching Veronica Mars, I wanted to meet Jason and Michael. So it was a big deal and if I'd have the chance, I'd go back there in a heartbeat... but I guess we all would, right? *g*

Heh, you mean that sound we make deep in our throat which sounds like we've got something stuck down there and we're trying to get it out? :P It amuses me to hear people trying to make that sound but not quite succeeding. Heh. But yeah, I like Hebrew too, then again, I'm not exactly objective, am I? ;)

lol, at least on sunday he got there on time, that's gotta count for something. But the saturday one...damn, that took forever to get started. But then Michael came along and started spreading his hugs, so all was forgiven. ;)

I'm really glad to hear that about her, nice to know she's as sweet as she appears and it's not just a show. Really, there are so many actors and actresses out there who are fake, it's nice to meet once in awhile ones that, well, aren't. You know, I've always liked her (I think it's her smile, it looks so genuine), but the thing that really closed the deal for me was seeing some of the photos she signed for people at Asylum. The first thing I noticed was - she always signs her name in Hebrew (and not just in english). The fact that she's not trying to hide where she comes from and is staying true to her heritage (and actually lets everyone know exactly what it is), that just made me love her that much more. <3 (did this make any sense...?). What's her new show called? Not sure I've heard of it...

Yeah, I heard they were quite different. Asylum was much bigger, around 600 people, right? And I heard it wasn't very well organized either. As someone who's been to both cons, I'm curious to know, which one did you enjoy more? And yes, I don't think there's anyone who'd say no to going back. :) Gah, how I wish Sean would have Jason or Michael or both back again next year...*sigh*

[identity profile] tinkabell007.livejournal.com 2007-06-14 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah... exactly!! *lol* You just nailed it, that's the "sound" I'm talking about. It must be really funny for you, hearing people try to get it right, but never succeed in it. It's the same when I hear someone trying to speak German... or Austrian for that matter. It's just amusing.

Oh yeah... the hugging was so nice of him. Did you also get a double-hug? We were standing in the line, waiting for the Michael shoot, as he came up and hugged everyone standing there. Then the stewards waved us into the Jason line, because he was the first one to start shooting, and Michael just started hugging people in the Jason line as well. So, as he went up to us he started laughing and said "oh that's sneaky... double hug!!!!" and he hugged us again. I think that relaxed us a little, just minutes before standing in front of Jason for the very first time! (omg... lol )

First of all, yes, what you said about Alona made absolute sense to me :) We share the same opinion :) Her new show is called "Cane" and is about a latino family working together to operate a rum business. Personally I think that summary sounds a little weird or even boring. But at least Alona is back on Tv, that's good news.

Do you/Did you watch Supernatural? I'm still hoping that she will return for season 3.

Hmm... which event was better? *have to think about that* Well... Asylum was stressful and Breakout was so much more relaxed and better organized. On the other hand I finally met Jensen, Alona and Mark Lutz (I adore him) while yet again at Breakout I was able to see Jason, Michael and Robert live. Man, do I have to choose? I just can't lol Both were so different, but I loved both of them. :)

Honestly I doubt that Sean will be bringing Michael and Jason back for next year. Have you heard about Sean insulting the Veronica Mars fans before and during the con? I don't think he really wants to make another con with more than one guest from Vm :(

[identity profile] smores100.livejournal.com 2007-06-15 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
lol, yeah, it's very funny, but also very endearing. And makes me all proud of myself that I can do something that they can't. :P It's a difficult sound to pronounce and requires a bit of practice. We personally have trouble with the "th" sound because it doesn't exist in hebrew, so instead of "the" they'll say "da" and so on. And a bit random, but it was so cute seeing Michael try to speak French (at the Paris meet up), hee. :D Austrian? Don't you guys speak German in Austria? Or is it German with a twist? :)

Haha, lucky bastards. :P No, I didn't get the double hug, I guess I was in the Jason line from the very beginning. How sweet of him. He's such a crowd pleaser, lol. I wish I had something to relax me before the Jason shoot and I wish he wasn't the first one I took my picture with - I was sooo *not* prepared for that, lol. I was close to making a fool of myself (but saved myself at the lest second), and I'm not a big fan of how the pic came out; I look too freaking rigid and scared - which I was, ha. :D

Hmm, is that the best summary they could come up with? Because I agree, sounds a bit boring...I'm glad she's on tv, though. :) Is she one of the cast members, or will she be a guest star in some of the episodes? Because I looked up the show on IMDb and she's not listed there, nor is the show listed on her page, which is a bit weird.

So far, I've only watched the first season of Supernatural. I'm still waiting for the second one to get here, although that might take some time. I would download it, but I rarely ever watch my downloads and end up watching it on tv when it finally gets here. The only show I made sure to stay caught up on was VM (season 3). Anyway, from what little I've heard, her character wasn't very liked by the fans, was it?

lol, my bad, I should have never made you try to choose between the two. Please forgive me. :P I think it worked out well for me that Breakout was my first con, because there weren't *too* many people there and I liked how relaxed and organized it was. It made things easier to deal with and was less overwhelming.

Yeah, I doubt that too. It would have been so awesome though having Jason, Michael and Francis there, like Michael mentioned in his talk. :( I'm pretty sure that 1 guest he keeps mentioning is going to be Kristen, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. And yeah, I definitely heard him insult the VM fans before the con - I joined the SF boards, and he was constantly whining and bitching about the VM fans not keeping their promise to buy tickets, and how he was going to lose a huge amount of money because of it and that doing a VM con was the worst idea he's ever had, blah blah blah - but I didn't hear about him insulting VM fans during the con itself. What'd he do?

[identity profile] tinkabell007.livejournal.com 2007-06-18 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, well, basically we do speak German... but every part of the country has another... well, how could I call it best? Uhm, accent, I guess. So at some point it sounds very different than German. And usually we don't use the word "Austrian" here... we just say "German" But when I tell someone that I speak German they assume I'm from Germany. So, therefore I often go with "Austrian" *g* I'm complicated, aren't I? :D

At some point I was glad that Jason was the first one to shoot. But it also scared the hell out of me! *lol* His STARE? I've often read about people reporting about THE stare, so I knew it was intense. But holy crap... that was sooo... well actually I don't have a word to describe that! But I guess you totally get my point *ggg*

Yeah, unfortunately Alona's role in that new show is not that big - at least that's what she told us at Asylum. She doesn't even know herself if she's going to be in the credits or only guest starring. She's still waiting on that info.

Oh you haven't seen Supernatural Season 2 so far? Shame on you!! *gg* It's an awesome season (and I'm not only saying that because I love this show sooo much...hehe) But I hope they'll show it on your television network really soon! And yes, there were lots of fans who didn't like how her character turned out! I always liked her, though (well, shocker, right? *gg* ) But Alona said herself that she was absolutely not happy with what they've done with the character. But then it's her job, so she just had to shut up and did what the writers/producers wanted.

Jason, Michael & Francis at one con again would be beyond awesome! Last year I almost flew to Blow Out with Stef! But I already had concert tickets, all paied, trip to Vienna planned, so I couldn't cancel.
And if Kristen's really going to be the only VM guest, I'm really not sure if I'd make the trip just for her. It saddens me to say that, but I'm not such a huge Kristen fan anymore. At least not the way I used to be in S1 and S2 :(

Sean was bitching about the picture sales! He said that no one was buying any VM pictures... which was so not true! At the end of the weekend the pics of VM were nearly sold out, while there were still tons of Prison Break. And also the photo op tickets for the VM stars didn't sell well - according to him!! Which is bullshit again, because the lines for VM were twice as long as for Robert and Stacey. So I really have no idea what Sean's problem is, but it really must be huge.
