Asylum Report Part 1

tinkabell007Here is the first part of my Asylum recap...
We arrived at Coventry airport on Thursday night and grabbed a cap to our Ibis Hotel. We nearly stayed up the whole night, waiting for the Supernatural download *lol* And after breakfast at 6:30 in the morning we finally watched the episode… and died a little while watching it! (OMFG…. )
Registration Friday was so not funny… let me tell you this. I think it was the worst day of the last 2 weeks… We waited for hours as registration time got pushed back every 30 minutes. FINALLY around 7 p.m. our batch numbers (243-246) were called and we received our registration package.
That was pretty much it. I think we grabbed something to eat in a traditional English Pub and headed back to our hotel.
Saturday…. the day of all days… or as we simply called it Jensen, Justin, Alona… Ahhhhh We headed to the Leofric at 7 a.m. and queued for the very first panel talk… with Justin Hartley! The waiting was worth it because we got seats in the very first row, just mere meters away from the stage! *dies*
We were waiting and waiting…. and suddenly I looked to the right and there he was… standing and waiting! Jensen Fucking Ackles! I had to look twice because I wasn’t believing my eyes. Just 2 meters away was Jensen! Omg… Shortly after he was discovered by the fans he was called on stage to greet everyone. He said he was very pleased to be there and he is sorry that Jared couldn’t make it but he’s really looking forward to this weekend and meeting his fans. After his little speech he vanished again and headed to his first photo op.
We were still sitting there, mouths gaping open. Jensen is even prettier in real life (if that’s even possible)… and his freckles… omg… but let me tell you the “freckles story” later *g*
After we recovered very slowly, the Justin Hartley & Alan Ritchson talk began. I have to say, Justin is quite the cutie… and funny too, but definitely not even close to Jensen (come one… Supernatural fangirlie here… what do you expect?! ) *gg*
At 10:45 FINALLY Jensen entered the stage and nearly got blinded by all the flashlight cameras lol He was posing very patiently for everyone… and they were counting down from ten until it was not allowed to use flashlights anymore.
I think you’ve already read everything about the talk, so I won’t go into detail (but vids of the first panel will follow ;) )
The panel just took place after a girl literally jumped Jensen in the hallway… so he seemed to be a little upstage… but still very well spoken and funny!! And did I mention that he was fucking hot?! I did?! Okay then….
After the Jensen panel was over, we hung around the lobby and went to the dealer’s room again… buying more trading cards! (yay, I’m addicted now… lol)
Oh and I also bought a Jared autograph!! *is happy* So, at least I got one little piece of Jared this weekend :)
At 1 pm we broke for lunch… or let’s say we went downstairs to a little store, buying some snacks. *g*
Right after lunch we had our Photo Studio with Alona Tal. Let me tell you… she is the most tiny and petite person I’ve ever met! But also soooo pretty!! I went up to her and she greeted me with “Hi sweetie”. I just smiled back and responed with a “hi”(with probably the most goofy smile ever) After the picture was taken she smiled back at me and was all “yeah, we really went all tough chicks here” (because of the way she was standing besides me) I’m not very happy with me in the picture though; she was very cute and I was… well, not! lol So you probably won’t see that picture… ever *g*
After the Alona shoot we headed back to the main hall were the guest star stage panel with Mark Lutz, Douglas Arthurs and Jenny Mollen was in progress. We had nothing better to do, so we grabbed some seats and watched.
I have to say one thing… Mark Lutz is the funniest person ever!! I’ve adored him in Angel years ago and I was so glad to finally meet him in person (later we also went for pictures and autographs of him) I think the panel with Mark was the funniest panel of the whole weekend! *gg*
After the panel was over I had the Coffee Bar Talk with Alona Tal! Man, I was so excited… Alona is the most friendly and down-to-earth person I’ve ever met. She’s so sweet and well spoken, really listening to the fans, patiently answering every question. I was and I’m still very impressed by her.
She told us that even she wasn’t happy about the way her character on Superantural was portrayed. She wanted Jo to be more kick-ass like… and not all winy and girly. But then again, it’s her job not to complain about the way the writers choose to portray a character.
Someone asked her why there aren’t many pictures out there.. photoshootings or premiere pictures… and she just said that she is not the kind of person who has to be in the spotlight 24/7… just to go to a movie premiere to put her face out there. That’s not her. She just goes to events she really cares about and really wants to be a part of. (I think that’s very impressive and very rare in young Hollywood! )
She also told us that she’s going to get married in June. Yay for her :)
Oh and she also told us that she was sad that her character on Veronica Mars was written off. But then again, it’s her job so there’s nothing she could have done about it.
In reply to the question if she would like to return to Supernatural in season 3 she not even hesitated and said: In a heartbeat. She had so much fun on the set and didn’t think she had ever laughed harder in her life than working with Jared and Jensen. Both goofing around the set, playing pranks on each and everyone. She really had the best time working with them.
The time went by too quickly and Alona had to leave for her Stage Talk with Nicki and Brooke. Sadly, we didn’t see much of it BECAUSE after the Coffee Lounge we went down for our Jensen autographs. Boy, I was nervous…. again! *lol* The line was not too long, and we were queuing for approx. half an hour and then, finally, I was standing in front of him, greeting him with a very shaky “Hi”. He looked up, smiled back and greeted as well. That was the moment I’ve seen his freckles very closely!!! Omg… I really had to bite my tongue not to squee. He signed the provided promo picture and a trading card. And then I had to go and make room for the next fan. :(
Yeah, that was pretty much Saturday… I also have a very cute Jared/Jensen story Jensen told someone while we were waiting in the autograph line. But this story I’ll tell you in my next report :)
Coming next… Saturday evening, Sunday report + Jared’s present for Jensen…
